My name is Joe Majewski, and I am currently a Junior at Northern Illinois University. I am majoring in Computer Science with a theoretical-based emphasis, and I intend on gaining a minor in mathematics as well. It should be a few more years before I graduate. If all goes as planned, I should be finished with college by December of 2012.
Visual Basic was the very first programming language that I learned, and it wasn’t long before programming (in general) became a huge part of my life.
I am currently employed as a web programmer for my University. More specifically, I help to create and manage a collection of applications for an Intranet used for the University’s Housing & Dining Administration; the department that I work for is known as ResTech.
I decided to create this blog as a resource for me to document many of the things that I’ve learned and created while studying the art of Computer Science. Web design is my weapon of choice when it comes to making applications, as it provides a way for me to share my creations with others by simply having them type an address into their web browser.
